The SPD,RVM(SSA),Hyd vide Circular No.355/RVM(SSA)/C8/2013,dt.27.05.2013 has issued instructions to conduct Education fortnight during 2013-14 for strengthening Government schools in 3 phases.
1) 1st Phase : Pre-school opening activites from 1st June to 11th June, 2013
2) 2nd Phase : After 12th June up to 20th June,2013 and soon after opening
of schools
3) 3rd Phase : Vidya sadassulu to be organised at Regional level in the state

సుప్రసిద్ధ రచయిత శ్రీ రావూరి భరద్వాజకు దేశంలోనే అత్యున్నత సాహిత్య పురస్కారం జ్ఞానపీఠ్ లభించింది. . విశ్వనాథ సత్యనారాయణ, డాక్టర్ సి.నారాయణరెడ్డి తర్వాత జ్ఞానపీఠ్ అవార్డును పొందిన తెలుగు రచయితల్లో భరద్వాజ మూడో వ్యక్తి. సుమారు పాతిక సంవత్సరాల తరువాత మన తెలుగు కవికి "పాకుడురాళ్ళు" అనే నవలకు ప్రఖ్యాత జ్ఞాన పీఠ్ పురస్కారం లభించడం తెలుగువారిమైన మనందరికీ గర్వ కారణం.
1927 జులై 5న పరిటాల జాగీరులోని మోగులూరు గ్రామం(ఇప్పటి కృష్ణాజిల్లా నందిగామ తాలుక)లో రావూరి సుబ్బయ్య, మల్లికాంబ దంపతులకు జన్మించారు. కొంతకాలం తర్వాత వారి కుటుంబం గుంటూరు జిల్లా తాడికొండకు వలసవెల్లింది. రావూరి భరద్వాజ 130 గ్రంధాలు వెలువరించారు. కథా రచయితగా ఆయన అపార కీర్తి నార్జించిన ఆయన మొత్తం 24 కథాసంపుటాలు వెలువరించారు. వాటిలో సామాన్యుల సమస్యల నుంచి వియత్నాం దక్షిణాఫ్రికా విముక్తి పోరాటాల వరకూ ప్రతిబింబిస్తాయి. తొమ్మిది నవలలు రాయగా అందులో సినీలోకపు మేడిపండు రూపం చిత్రించిన పాకుడు రాళ్లు గొప్ప పేరు తెచ్చింది. . రావూరి భరద్వాజ రచనల్లో భాష జన జీవితానికి దగ్గరగా వుంటుంది. ఆయన నిత్య జీవితంలోనూ చాలా నిరాడం బరంగా స్నేహశీలంగా మెలుగు తుంటారు. కేంద్ర రాష్ట్ర స్థాయిల్లో అనేక పురస్కారాలు పొందడమే గాక రచయితగానూ విశేషమైన ప్రఖ్యాతి పొందినా సాహిత్య సభలకు అందరితో పాటు హాజరయ్యే వినమ్రత ప్రదర్శిస్తారు. 8వ తరగతివరకే విద్యనభ్యసించిన భరద్వాజకు రాష్ట్రంలోని 3 విశ్వవిద్యాలయాలు గౌరవ డాక్టరేట్లు ప్రకటించటం విశేషం. ఆంధ్రా, నాగార్జున, జవహర్లాల్ నెహ్రూ విశ్వవిద్యాలయాలు ఆయనను గౌరవ డాక్టరేట్లతో సత్కరించాయి. 2009లో లోక్నాయక్ ఫౌండేషన్ లిటరరీ అవార్డు ఆయనను వరించింది. తెలుగు సాహిత్యానికి ఎనలేని సేవలందించిన భరద్వాజను ఇంకా అనేక అవార్డులు వరించాయి.

Dr.B.R.Amdedkar's Birth Anniversary on 14th April:
Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar 14 April 1891 – 6 December 1956), popularly also known as Babasaheb, was an Indian jurist, political leader, philosopher, anthropologist, historian, orator, economist, teacher, editor, prolific writer, revolutionary and a revivalist for Buddhism in India. He was also the chief architect of the Indian Constitution. In 2012 he was chosen greatest Indian after Mahatma Gandhi in a nationwide poll held by History TV and CNN-IBN.
Born into a poor Mahar (considered an Untouchable caste) family, Ambedkar campaigned against social discrimination, the system of Chaturvarna – the categorisation of Hindu society into four varnas – and the Hindu caste system. He converted to Buddhism and is also credited with providing a spark for the transformation of hundreds of thousands of Dalits or untouchables to Theravada Buddhism. Ambedkar was posthumously awarded the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award, in 1990.[5]
Overcoming numerous social and financial obstacles, Ambedkar became one of the first Dalit (untouchables) to obtain a college education in India. Eventually earning a law degree and doctorates for his study and research in law, economics and political science from Columbia University and the London School of Economics, Ambedkar gained a reputation as a scholar and practised law for a few years, later campaigning by publishing journals advocating political rights and social freedom for India's untouchables.
He is regarded as a Bodhisattva by some Indian Buddhists, though he never claimed himself to be a Bodhisattva. Ambedkar said at a public function in 1956, while he was converting, that, "accepting Buddhism does not only mean getting into new religion it means entering into new form of life where everybody has responsibility to cultivate wisdom, compassion and morality in this life moments, buddha`s dhamma is here to guide and protect humanity, what we have to do is to strive for creating a moral order.
